As I grow older and see things differently, I now find myself looking deeper at these natural and seemingly untouched spaces that are becoming fewer and far between if at all, all while exploring the connections between the natural world and a human touch.
The farmers field with a long history of manipulation, the seemingly untouched forest with a found object left and forgotten from the past, it seems everywhere we go there is evidence of human interaction with nature. Through colour, line, shape and space I am exploring these themes in my work and as we use and touch these pieces I hope it evokes thought within us as we navigate our own relationships with the natural world.
