Who I am

I have always had a strong love of the arts, both appreciating it and creating it. In university I was first introduced to ceramics, where I completed a BFA in drawing and painting with minors in printmaking and ceramics. I have spent the last 15 years immersed in arts education at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection and am recently reigniting my passion back to creating after embarking on a 15-week intensive program through Fleming College at the Haliburton School of Art Design.

The physicality of working with clay drives me to further explore the medium and push the boundaries in form and design. My work explores the natural world through my personal lens and experiences throughout life including all the twists and turns that have been thrown my way.

I am currently creating work exploring expressions of self and nature using a variety of hand building techniques and thrown objects in my home studio in Baldwin, Ontario.
